  • A BIG thank you from the Parent Equity Team to everyone who made it to the Book Swap & Author Event last week! It was a great turnout and the book swap was a hit! For those who ordered books from visiting author Sanae Ishida, she will deliver them to the school. Anyone can also view Sanae Ishida’s books on her website or order at Bookshop.org.  The Parent Equity team is happy to cover the costs of books; email equity@sacpta.org with order info.
  • Submit Candid Photos for the 2023-24 Yearbook Now is your chance to submit fun candid photos of students from this year! Submitting is easy: upload your photos to either a Google Drive or Dropbox folder and share the folder with Chris at chrismeder@gmail.com. Please submit by April 1st at the latest.

  • Our Community Dinner and Auction is on April 19th! We need your help to make our upcoming silent auction a roaring success! Whether you can contribute a room at a rental home, event tickets, professional services, handcrafted items, or unique experiences, every donation counts and will directly benefit our school programs and initiatives. Donating is easy! Reach out to jessi@sacpta.org by Friday April 5 or if you have any questions. Thank you in advance for your generosity and support!
  • Donate a Parent Party to the Silent Auction! Choose an activity/theme (e.g. Dinner Party, Craft Night, etc) and offer to host or co-host by coordinating the space/supplies. Your event can be as big or as small, casual or elaborate as you like, and people can purchase tickets during the silent auction on April 19th. Please sign up to Donate to the Auction Friday, April 5th.
  • Clothes needed for our nurse’s office. We’re requesting donations of boys/girls sweatpants for K-3rd grade students. Lightly-used sweatpants are ok.
  • Seeking a new PTA Treasurer for next year Are you interested in the budget, how we fundraise, and what programs we support? Basic Excel skills and experience with an online accounting/finance application are helpful. Training is available during transition from current Treasurer and on-going support from other board members. Email Jessi Friedrichs with questions: jessi@sacpta.org.
  • Looking to volunteer in school? Get approved now! Volunteering at school or chaperoning field trips requires an SPS approval process. Apply early using the SPS volunteering page as it can take two weeks. Contact Charlene Shanahan cyshanahan@seattleschools.org for questions. We currently need help with Packs for Kids, lunchroom helper, and equity team.
