Hello Sacajawea families,

We are currently looking to recruit two new hourly tutors for the upcoming school year. Please spread the word! If you are interested in one of these positions, or you know someone who might be, please reach out to me.

I’ve included descriptions for these positions below. Tutors are hired by me at the school level. These hourly positions will be open until filled.  I plan to contact applicants as they express interest and will fill positions as soon as possible after the start of school.

School Day Tutors: We have 2 tutor openings. This hourly position works under the direction of our principal, reading specialist, and classroom teachers to assist students with learning needs in reading and math.  Tutors may work with small groups of up to 3 students and/or work in classrooms assisting teachers during whole or small group learning.  In addition, tutors assist with serving and student supervision during recesses and lunch periods.  This job is 10 to 17.5 hours per week and pays $18.69 per hour. If you are interested please e-mail me at bsfisk@seattleschools.org

A big thank you to Erik Esse and Holly Sassi who have done a great job tutoring students and assisting teachers during the current school year!

In partnership,

Barry Fisk (he/him) Principal
