Key Items This Week

We have many volunteer opportunities for 2024-25. This week’s featured roles include PTA Secretary, Building Leadership Team, and Newsletter Lead. See below for more details. Ongoing needs include: Packs for Kids, lunch support, yearbook, PTA (grants, newsletter, fundraising, and Equity Team). See below for more details on our current needs. Sacajawea Picture Day, Tuesday, October 29th. Grey Sky Productions will be back to photograph all students for school records and the yearbook. Pre-order your photos onlineor pick up a paper order form in the office. Missed the pre-order? Photos will be available in the online gallery about three weeks after Picture Day.

Heritage Harvest Potluck is Oct. 24th at 5:30pm. Join Sacajawea’s Racial Equity Team at the Heritage Harvest Potluck in the Sac cafeteria. Please RSVP and sign up to bring a favorite family dish to share (or just come eat). We need your help to make this event a success!

PTA Community Grants Program. Do you need funding for a project that could enrich our students’ learning or strengthen our community? The Sacajawea PTA is now offering grants to support community-led initiatives. More details and the application are available on SacPTA.org.

Nov. PTA Meeting Date Change. The Nov. PTA meeting will be *Wednesday* November 13. This will be a full membership meeting, and the date has been changed to allow for our board to participate in the Seattle Council PTSA membership meeting that is scheduled for Tuesday.
