Key Items This Week
- FamilyWorks Community Resource Center. FamilyWorks is hosting a Community Resource Center at Nathan Hale High School. If you or your family need resources like food assistance, Medicaid, utility support, or rental help, visit Portable 6 (near the Nathan Hale track) every Wednesday from 1:30 to 4:00 p.m. to meet with a Community Connector.
- North Helpline Turkey Distribution. North Helpline’s Food Bank is providing one turkey per household for the holiday. Visit their Lake City location (12736 33rd Ave NE, Seattle, WA) on Nov. 20, 23, or 27 (9 a.m.–1:45 p.m.) or Nov. 21 (4–6:45 p.m.). - Rally against school closures on Nov. 19th. Join our PTA and our school community on November 19th to rally against proposed school closures, including Sacajawea—wear red or Sacajawea gear to show your support! Meet at 3:45pm in front of the John Stanford Center; let’s stand united! Need a ride or have questions, contact Julie Letchner (letchner@gmail.com).
- Help us complete the Sac Directory for 2024-2025. Each year, our PTA compiles a paper directory of contact information for our parents and families. If you submitted your details when you joined the PTA, you’re good to go. If you haven’t joined the PTA or want to share your information, please fill out this year’s directory form.
- Sacajawea t-shirts on sale through Nov. 8th. We have boo-tiful new Sac t-shirts and hoodies for sale. The spooky-good design by Sac parent Chad Pfarr features the intricate patterns and tapestries found throughout South America, which is our continental focus for this year. Scholarships are available, too. Details and ordering on SacPTA.org.
- New to Sacajawea this year? Unearth all the latest news by subscribing to our PTA email list and joining our Facebook group. Stay in the spirit and keep up with every fang-tastic event happening around school. Don’t let updates creep by like ghouls in the night.
- Clothing donations needed. We’re conjuring up a call for clothing donations! We’re specifically looking for leggings or sweatpants (for both boys and girls), as well as socks and underwear in all sizes. Donations can be sent in with your kids or dropped off at the front office. Thank you!
