Note from Principal Fisk:
Hello Sacajawea Families,
We enjoyed all the creative orange and black outfits students and staff wore on Wednesday. Next Wednesday, November 6th, is another chance to show our school spirit, as it is Hat Day.
On Tuesday, I had the chance to meet with many of our teachers to look at how our students are growing academically and socially. I am proud of how prepared our staff was for these important conversations. We will continue this work throughout the year to provide the supports that help all of our students succeed. On another note, Seattle Public Schools Director of Enrollment and Planning Faauu Manu will join us again this Friday, November 1st, from 10 am to 2 pm to listen to community questions and concerns regarding the proposed consolidation of schools. Please check in at the office when you arrive.
In partnership,
Barry Fisk (he/him)

Key Items This Week
- Family Meetup at Victory Heights, Nov. 9th. The Equity Team is brewing up a family gathering at Victory Heights Playground at 2pm. There will be light treats and frightfully good fun! The goal is to bring our kids together to play and to weave a tighter web in our community!
- Don’t ghost us! Help us complete the Sac Directory for 2024-2025. Each year, our PTA compiles a paper directory of contact information for our parents and families. If you submitted your details when you joined the PTA, you’re good to go. If you haven’t joined the PTA or want to share your information, please fill out this year’s directory form.
- Sacajawea t-shirts on sale through Nov. 8th. We have boo-tiful new Sac t-shirts and hoodies for sale. The spooky-good design by Sac parent Chad Pfarr features the intricate patterns and tapestries found throughout South America, which is our continental focus for this year. Scholarships are available, too. Details and ordering on SacPTA.org.
- New to Sacajawea this year? Unearth all the latest news by subscribing to our PTA email list and joining our Facebook group. Stay in the spirit and keep up with every fang-tastic event happening around school. Don’t let updates creep by like ghouls in the night.
- Clothing donations needed. We’re conjuring up a call for clothing donations! We’re specifically looking for leggings or sweatpants (for both boys and girls), as well as socks and underwear in all sizes. Donations can be sent in with your little monsters (erm, kids) or dropped off at the front office. Thank you!
