    Move-a-Thon 2020
    Posted on 10/15/2020
Each fall, we hold Move-a-Thon to help raise funds to support arts, music, tutoring, teacher stipends, and more at Sacajawea. This year, we’re aiming to raise $30,000 during this event to continue our support of these programs. This may be our main fundraiser this year, so please participate!
This year, we’ve gone virtual, and Mrs. Kohler is leading the charge! (WatchMs. Kohler's video
    How Move-a-Thon Works
    1. Encourage your students to collect donations using the paper pledge envelope (handed out on Oct. 8th) and/or using our Sacajawea Pledgestar website for secure credit card donations. Donors can pledge per minute OR by flat donation.
    2. Your student will participate in 70 minutes of movement during their PE class. If your student wishes to add minutes of exercise, you may record that on the pledge sheet.
From Mrs Kohler: Students (and families) will follow directions for the activity by clicking on voice play instructions, then on the picture of the track to begin doing each activity between the starting and finish lines. Each picture includes a link to play the video for that activity. When video is complete, return to the track and go to the next picture. The total time for all videos is 70 minutes. Students may do the videos throughout the two weeks to enjoy physical activity each and every day.
    3. Once you have collected all pledges, turn the envelope in anytime between now and November 6 during a materials distribution day (Oct 22 / Nov 5) or to the front office Mon-Fri 8:30 am - 3:00 pm. Include cash or checks (made out to Sacajawea Elementary PTA).
Collect and turn in all donations by Friday, November 6 in order to be eligible for prizes. DONATIONS ARE TAX DEDUCTIBLE, and don’t forget about Employer Match Programs!
Get your whole family to have fun and fitness together by participating and raising money for our school. No donation amount is too small!
